Actor Recalls Working For The Man

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Not every actor is born into Hollywood, some have to trudge through boring office jobs before making it in showbiz.

At least that’s the case with actor Jay Harrington, who plays the lead in ABC’s upcoming workplace comedy Better Off Ted, a series about a weird, morally questionable research and development firm.

Working a nine to five with strange co-workers is nothing new for Harrington.

Many years ago, he worked an office job for FEMA in Boston where he’d drive around to people’s houses after natural disasters and offer government assistance.

While the traveling part of the job was cool, Harrington says the desk portion of it sucked, mostly because of his “jaded, disgruntled co-workers.”

However, Harrington did have some fun on the job.

He explains, “There was a whole part of the office where you could go up and technically you were on the seventh floor, but they thought you were on the eighth floor. You could mess with everyone!”
