Dubya’s Finest Bushism: ‘Misunderestimate’

AUSTIN, Texas (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – President George W. Bush is a man of many words – stupid words, that is.

Over the course of his eight-year administration, Dubya has said some pretty silly things, and the Global Language Monitor – a company that tracks word trends – has released a list of their top “Bushisms.”

Topping the list of Bush’s not-so eloquent words is the little gem “misunderestimate,” which the prez stated back in 2000, during the immediate aftermath of the disputed election.

Other bumbling Bushisms include...

  • “Brownie, you’ve done a heck of a job,” the phrase Bush uttered to soon-to-be-discharged FEMA director Michael Brown during the disastrous aftermath following Hurricane Katrina in September 2005.

  • “I’m the decider,” a phrase the 43rd president often used to assert his dominance and justify his decisions.

  • “I use The Google,” said in reference to the popular Internet search engine back in October 2006.

  • “I think I may need a bathroom break. Is this possible?” which Bush scribbled on a note to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during a UN Security Council meeting in 2005.
