Just ask Vogue Knitting magazines editor-in-chief Trisha Malcolm, who claims that knitting is a cool way for guys to meet girls.
In fact, she says lots of bars in New York have picked up on the craft craze by hosting co-ed knit nights.
Mary Colucci of The Craft Yarn Council of America says that knitting is no longer considered just a ladys leisure and its perfectly acceptable for guys to get in on the action.
She says masculine men including Matthew McConaughey and Antonio Banderas love to knit, which could be why theyre so popular with the ladies.
Colucci explains, Younger men arent afraid to pick up knitting needles because theyre taken with the complexity of knitting and how involved it can get. Plus, its a turn on to women.
