‘Amazing’ Rejects Need Superhero Strength

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One dynamic dork duo could’ve benefitted from some “amazing” superhero strength on reality TV.

Mark Yturralde and Bill Kahler were the latest team to get the boot from The Amazing Race this past Sunday (Oct. 10), and the nerdy, comic book-loving pals believe super powers could have saved them.

Kahler says, “We definitely could have used teleportation powers on the show.”

Adds Yturralde: “There’s nothing more disheartening than sitting in a taxi, speeding to the next place then, ‘Bam!,’ traffic stops dead and there’s nothing you can do.”

Throughout the cross-country competition, the geeky pair wished they could’ve been comic book duo Booster Gold and Blue Beetle, especially during the most trying times.

Yturralde explains, “Booster Gold is this showboat guy who knows stuff from the future and uses it to get himself ahead. I’d be him. Mark can be Blue Beetle because he’s more quiet and bookish.”

Amazing Race airs Sundays on CBS.
