Old People Can Survive Anything

TEMECULA, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Being a grandma doesn’t mean you can’t survive.

Just ask Gillian Larson, the 61-year-old “adventurous granny” who got voted off Survivor: Gabon last Friday (Sep. 26).

Larson says that just because she got the boot from the reality competition, it doesn’t mean older folks can’t hack it in tough situations.

She says, “A huge part of my Survivor journey was to show people that if you want to do something, you can do it, even if you’re someone my age.”

Though Larson didn’t get to fulfill her dream of becoming the oldest Survivor winner in the show’s history, she doesn’t plan on slowing down her adventurous life.

Larson is already training for a 36-mile marathon and plans to swim the freezing, mile-and-a-half distance from Alcatraz to the San Francisco Bay.

She says, “I’ll still be taking life by the tail until my body doesn’t work anymore.”

Survivor: Gabon airs Thursdays on CBS.
