So says Emmett Brown, executive director of the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum in Hayward, Wisconsin, which houses thousands of fishing artifacts, including a structure shaped like a leaping fish thats as long as a whole city block.
According to Brown, fishing gets a lot of undeserved flack for being a humdrum hobby.
He says, Those who say fishing is boring have probably never gone fishing. Is it fast-paced like NASCAR? Probably not, but its certainly fulfilling.
Brown insists that fishing is the perfect way to slow down a little bit and get in touch with your surroundings, and the the No.1 sport of all time.
He says, Not everybody has played basketball, baseball, football, but I bet theyve all gone fishing at least once in their lives. You still can do it once your knees give out.
