Tour Tells Niagara Falls’ Mob History

BUFFALO, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Niagara Falls was once a hotbed for mafia activity and true mafiosos can’t ‘Fuggedaboutit!’

The crime-filled past of the tourist attraction is being told through the Mob Tour, a mafia-inspired look at the region’s history.

It’s not just tourists taking a whack at the tour.

Mike Rizzo, who runs the Mob Tour, says, “We get some old mobsters that were involved in the mafia crime scene. I think they’re interested in what we do, the history, and they come to reminisce.”

The 90-minute tour hits up places frequented by local mob kingpin Stefano Magaddino, who controlled a large part of the East Coast for 50 years.

Though Rizzo admits he’s had his life threatened by an angry mobster’s daughter, tour-goers shouldn’t worry that they’ll end up sleeping with the fishes.

Instead, he welcomes all to come out in their best mafia attire tomorrow (Jul. 19) for Dress Like A Mobster Day.
