‘Charlie’s Angels’ Fanatic Lives The Dream

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A die-hard devotion to the sexy starlets of Charlie’s Angels is earning one Los Angeles author his wings.

Mike Pingel is a lifelong Charlie’s Angels fan who owns more than 2,000 pieces of memorabilia from the 1970s show, including a signed trading card of Angel Cheryl Ladd, which she personally gave to him on his birthday.

Pingel has been a fan of Charlie’s Angels since he was little and has seen every episode at least 10 times.

He was even Farrah Fawcett’s personal assistant from 2005-2007, and admits he almost didn’t get the job when he mentioned that his favorite Angel was actually Cheryl Ladd.

Having an in with the Angels led Pingle to write The Q Guide to Charlie’s Angels (Alyson Books), a book filled with exclusive trivia hitting shelves tomorrow (Jul. 1).

Some fun facts include...

  • Linda Carter was originally up for a role in Charlie’s Angels.

  • The original Angels, Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, and Kate Jackson, are like sisters and still see each other regularly.

  • The actresses themselves don’t own much memorabilia from the show, not even original pictures taken on the set.
