Garlic Restaurant Doesn’t Stink

LONDON, Ontario (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Garlic is the main ingredient at one restaurant in London, Ontario, but it doesn’t cause a stink.

Garlic’s Restaurant uses the potent herb in practically every dish on the menu, from garlic bisque and garlic chicken, to garlic martinis, garlic ice cream, and even cloves dipped in chocolate.

Executive Chef Wade Fitzgerald says garlic can be smoked, roasted, fried, and candied, among other preparations, so it’s easy to use on everything.

He says their garlic ice cream, which includes both roasted and pureed garlic, has “some bite,” and is a hit or miss with patrons.

Although it seems like Garlic’s Restaurant would reek, Fitzgerald says that’s not the case.

Since the restaurant runs an in-house bakery, the aroma inside isn’t riddled with garlic, but instead smells of fresh breads, stocks, and in Fitzgerald’s words, “good home cooking.”

Still, popping a breath mint never hurts.

Garlic’s makes their own breath-freshening candies and cookies that patrons can chomp on after their meals.

Fitzgerald says the restaurant isn’t just for garlic lovers and that there’s something for everyone on the menu, except for maybe vampires.
