San Francisco Safe From Robot Uprising

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A robot invasion is coming to San Francisco, but citizens shouldn’t be fearful.

More than 500 robots will be unleashed to do their human masters’ bidding on June 13-15 for the 5th Annual RoboGames, which features man-made machines competing in 70 different events.

This includes Kung Fu Androids, where karate-kicking robots fight to the death, Humanoid Freestyle, in which breakdancing robots fight, and the crowd favorite, Robot Combat, which pits 340-pound fighting machines against each other in a big battle of the bots.

Despite all the murder machines running wild, event spokesperson David Calkins says humans shouldn’t fear a robot uprising.

He says, “We have insurance that actually covers us against giant killer robots. Our combat robots compete in a bulletproof cage, so they can shoot a machine gun at the crowd and no one will get hurt.”

Robot Bartenders will also be on hand to serve up martinis and flaming Spanish coffees for thirsty fans.
