‘American Gladiator’ Was Born To Battle

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One American Gladiator was born to bring the pain.

Titan – one of the tough gladiators on NBC’s American Gladiators – says despite the strength of his competition, no amount of preparation will give the hero hopefuls a leg up on him in the show’s strongman standoffs.

Titan – whose real name is Mike O’Hearn – grew up with a football playing father, a martial artist mom, and nine brothers and sisters.

He says, “I was doing push-ups at six months old! I was born to battle. My whole life has been preparation for fighting.”

Titan – who weighs in at 260 pounds – urges his competitors to “train like animals,” but says that even if he’s up against someone scrawny, he has no plans to take it easy.

He says, “None of us want to lose. We go 100 percent. Come on, I’m wearing spandex! I’m definitely not going to wear spandex AND get my a kicked!”

American Gladiators airs Mondays on NBC.
