‘Top Model’ Reject Can’t Walk The Walk

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The latest Top Model cast-off just couldn’t walk the walk.

Lauren Utter was eliminated from America’s Next Top Model this past Wednesday (Apr. 23) after failing to impress Tyra Banks and her fashion posse with her runway skills and Cover Girl commercial.

Throughout the show, Utter had trouble learning how to walk like a model, especially in high heels.

She explains, “I had never walked in high heels in my life. I didn’t grow up practicing my runway walk or wanting to be model. I never walked in my mom’s heels, because she wore boots! I just wasn’t brought up in a model environment.”

Utter gave walking in heels her best shot, but admits the Top Model set isn’t the best place to perfect one’s catwalk.

She says, “They expect you to know all these things about runway and don’t really train you. I want to be trained in runway!”

Utter – who’s more likely to wear a pair of Converse than heels – still practices her walk these days, but admits she doesn’t wear heels unless she has to.

Top Model airs Wednesdays on The CW.
