Viewers ‘Race’ Towards Reality TV

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Reality shows may be all over the tube, but viewers are still ‘racing’ for a piece of the reality TV pie.

According to a new survey by, TV fans are growing more and more accustomed to watching reality TV shows, and wouldn’t mind being contestants themselves on certain programs.

For example, an overwhelming 39 percent of fans would love to trek from country to country as a contender on Amazing Race, while 19 percent would ditch the comforts of home for a gritty, nature-bound experience on Survivor.

Strutting their stuff on the American Idol stage in front of Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson would be a dream come true for 15 percent of TV fans, while 14 percent would prefer experiencing the drama that comes with competing on Big Brother.

Finally, 13 percent of viewers would like to participate in the “Ultimate Social Experiment” by signing on to Beauty And The Geek.
