Obama Is Persuading His Way To The Presidency

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One communications expert has the straight-talking truth about Barack Obama’s persuasive push for the presidency.

Laurie Puhn is a Harvard lawyer and author of Instant Persuasion: How to Change Your Words to Change Your Life (Penguin), who says Obama’s success comes from his persuasive persona as much as his policies.

Puhn says, “Obama and Hillary Clinton agree on 95 percent of the issues, but the difference is Obama’s power of persuasion.”

Puhn says Obama is able to present audiences with a big idea – like “change” – which can be applied to any political problem.

She explains, “Hillary lists all the things she’s going to do, but she’s a boring speaker. Obama is compelling and entertaining, and people are listening.”

And everyone can learn from Obama’s speaking success.

She says, “If you want a raise, don’t say, ‘I need more money.’ Do what Obama does – he issues a call for action and asks people to help him, and it’s working.”
