Women Get Ready To Tackle The ‘Oscars’

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Men may get the glory of the Super Bowl, but ladies get the glamour of the Oscars (Feb. 24).

According to a national survey conducted by Little Black Dress Wines, 39 percent of women say that watching red carpet awards show coverage is their equivalent to watching the Super Bowl.

And while 14 percent of women demand that their significant other leave the room once the show starts, it’s not all calm and quiet, as 26 percent of women cheer, boo, and throw things at the TV during the show.

Other revealing red carpet stats include...

  • 27 percent of women only focus on what the stars are wearing, not who wins or loses.

  • 44 percent do their own red carpet play-by-play, gossiping with girlfriends and co-workers.

  • After the “big game,” 32 percent of gals turn to post-show coverage to find out who scored on the red carpet and who stunk.

But it’s not all bad news for guys.

The survey reveals that 38 percent of women would let their guy have his pigskin-watching pals over every Sunday for one month if they could have their girlfriends over for every awards show of the season.
