World’s Largest Liquor Store Doesn’t Sell To Drunks

THORNTON, Colo. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A liquor store in Thornton, Colorado, may be the world’s largest liquor store, but they still don’t sell booze to drunks.

Henry Sawaged is the owner of Daveco Liquor, a liquor store that was deemed the world’s largest by Guinness World Records last month.

The spirits shop covers more than 100,000 square feet, and has everything from 50-cent mixers to $14,000 vodkas available in its aisles.

But just because it’s booze heaven, that doesn’t mean you can stroll in and buy Bacardi while buzzed.

Sawaged says he has his staff turn away plastered patrons, and won’t let them buy anything until they’ve sobered up.

He says, “People come in drunk and try to handle the drinks, and we send them out. I’ve had people come in the next day thanking me for not selling them anything, because it would have gotten them into trouble.”
