‘Amazing Race’ Keeps Crabby Couple Together

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – For one team of reality show racers, their televised tussles actually saved their relationship.

Jennifer Parker and Nathan Hagstrom were sent packing from The Amazing Race this past Sunday (Jan. 13), but the couple, whose feisty fights were prominently featured on the show, says the round-the-world race actually kept them together.

Hagstrom says, “When we got done with the race, we truly didn’t know where we stood. We took some time apart, but we’re still together.”

Parker adds, “The show was like intense therapy. We got it all out.”

And now that they’re back in the States, the dueling duo say their continent cruising gave them a positive perspective on their pairing – and even gave them the itch to hit the road again.

Hagstrom says, “Jen and I argue about the stupidest little things, but after seeing people in Africa who had nothing, but still had huge smiles, now we think, ‘Why are we fighting over this stupid crap?’”

Parker adds, “We learned to just shut out mouths!”

The Amazing Race airs Sundays on CBS.
