Potty Training Goes Punk

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One potty training tool is bringing punk rock to toilet time.

Toilet Buddies are velcro add-ons of cute animals that attach to toilets and are meant to aid parents in potty training their toddlers.

And creator Joe Lalicata is adding some rockin’ flavor to the bathroom with punk rock potty shows featuring the Toilet Buddies live on stage.

New York’s The Bitter End, a venue that has hosted Sammy Davis Jr. and rock band Phish, has also hosted the Toilet Buddies band, who rock out toilet time tunes like “Reggae Flush” for tiny tykes.

He says, “We’re the only toilet training band in the world. I play guitar, my wife dresses up as a toilet, and the characters play the other instruments. We even have a baby mosh pit.”

And it’s not just poopy playschoolers rocking out to the Toilet Buddies.

Lalicata says, “We have a large adult following. Parents think we’re a punk rock band and come out to see us. We even broke capacity at one show.”
