NASCAR Races Into The Museum

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Thanks to one ambitious artist, NASCAR isn’t just for rednecks and hillbillies anymore.

Artist Steve Maloney has come out with his This Is Where The Rubber Meets The Road exhibit, which features sculptures constructed from sheet metal and debris from NASCAR wrecks.

Maloney feels that his artwork is going to draw in both the art snobs and the redneck NASCAR enthusiasts, because as he puts it, “NASCAR is such a big part of America, and in many ways it’s more American than Andy Warhol’s soup cans.”

But don’t overheat your engine – Maloney insists the exhibit has something for everyone, not just rowdy race fans.

He explains, “Some will get excited because they’ll recognize a logo or a number of a car, and others are just aficionados of the art. No one feels out of place.”

The Rubber Meets The Road revs into New York City for two weeks beginning November 21.
