Decapitated Dolls Have Famous Heads Rolling

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Toy makers in Ormond Beach, Florida, are dolling up some famous headless ladies.

Special effects and make-up artists Garith Pettibone and Shiva Rodriguez are bringing decapitated dames to folks through their doll making company, Headless Historicals, which sells dolls of famously beheaded babes.

Customers can buy famous headless lady dolls like Marie Antoinette or Lady Jane Grey for up to $300, or they can have a decapitated doll of themselves or a friend made with their noggins knocked off by axe, sword, or guillotine.

But be careful, a chopped head can mean losing a friend – literally.

Says Pettibone: “We did a custom doll of one of our friend’s soon to be ex-wife. She wasn’t happy about that, and it cost us her friendship.”

And Pettibone’s even losing his own head over the toys – he has a beheaded version of himself on their website,, but it’s not his favorite figure to get the axe.

Says Pettibone: “My favorite historical figure that died horribly would have to be Julius Caesar. But as far as decapitations, I’d say Vlad Dracula, though his was post-mortem.”
