Rock Band Fights Its Way To The Top

NEW ORLEANS, La. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – All it took for one buzz band to breakthrough was eight years of fighting.

Kurtis John is the frontman for Connecticut-based rockers The Last Goodnight, and the sensitive singer says it’s his band’s close childhood bonds that keep the crew from crumbling.

John, who met his bandmates at a high school party, says, “Being in a band is all about brotherhood. Coming from a small town, we had tight roots, so now we aren’t always breaking up or breaking down. We’ve fought so much over eight years that we’re pretty much out of fighting.”

And while John does the singing, the band pranks keep everyone watching what comes out of their mouths.

John says, “If you fall asleep in the van with your mouth open, you’re going to get a bunch of things hanging out of it when you wake up.”

The Last Goodnight’s debut album, Poison Kiss hits stores today, (August 28). Their tour with American Idol star Elliott Yamin starts October 5 in Chicago.
