Burning Man Has Strict Dress Code

BLACK ROCK CITY, Nev. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Burning Man is an eclectic festival of freedom, but there’s also a strict – and strange – rule when it comes to clothes.

Since 1986, Burning Man draws more than 300,000 people to the extreme heat of Black Rock City, Nevada, for a week long, anything-goes, outdoor celebration in the desert.

And while attendees pride themselves on their self-reliance and individuality, there’s still one dress code that can’t be stripped away.

Spokesperson Andie Grace says, “Normal street clothes are rarely seen in Black Rock, and if you’re seen wearing a T- shirt with a logo, they’ll ask you to take it off. You’re much better off in a red sequined cocktail dress, whether you’re man or woman.”

Burning Man parties hardy August 27 through September 3.
