Musician Gets Animated About Peace

HOLLYWOOD (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – For one socially-conscious musician and actor, being the voice of peace is downright hilarious.

Cipes and the People are reggae rockers whose debut album, The Conscious Revolution, hits stores September 18th.

But for frontman Greg Cipes, the road to reggae redemption has been paved with laughs.

In addition to guest spots on TV shows like House and Deadwood, Cipes is the voice for Beast Boy, from Cartoon Network’s animated series Teen Titans, and it’s his on-screen hijinks – including some real-life heartbreak – that have helped him spread his message.

Cipes says,“Pain is a lesson. For Beast Boy and myself, it gives us creative fuel to fight for righteousness.”

And for Cipes, his soul-saving songs are already hitting the street.

He says, “I’m here to be the voice of young people. I’ll go to a show and hear a band saying all the things I’m saying, and it’s fine. I want people to carry that message.”
