The Underdogs Of The National Football League

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Football fans everywhere have heard of All-American greats like John Elway, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Reggie Bush, but now some NFL underdogs are getting a bit of well-deserved recognition.

Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey just conducted a football survey where they spoke with 100 prevalent sports writers and broadcasters across the country to find the most underrated football players in the NFL, and Indianapolis Colts receiver Marvin Harrison was among the promising pigskin underdogs.

Harrison is a 10-season vet of the sport and statistically the most consistent receiver in the league, with eight Pro Bowls and tons of NFL records under his belt. But unfortunately, Harrison has lacked endorsements throughout his career. C’mon Wheaties!

Other stellar but overlooked football players include...

  • Miami Dolphins quarterback Trent Green, who’s been a football pro for 13 years, been to two Pro Bowls, and thrown for 3,000 to more than 4,000 yards for nine seasons.

  • Finally, Seattle Seahawks’ loyal fullback Mark Strong has been with the team for his entire 13-year career, and is one of the best blocking backs in the NFL.
