Thats the weighty claim of Debbie Johnson, whose book Think Yourself Thin teaches readers how to shed pounds by feeding their subconscious, that is.
Johnson says, The subconscious is like a three-year-old that likes its toys. You need to reprogram it, and replace those toys and thoughts with new ones.
Johnsons slimming strategy involves developing a key image of fitting into that itty bitty bikini, for example and focusing all your senses on achieving that goal.
Its a pound-dropping point that Johnson is very familiar with.
In her own dieting drama, Johnson gained 40 pounds, but using her method of repetitive focusing and imagining, shes managed to drop the weight and stay slim for the past 25 years.
