Cooler Company Packs The Heat

WICHITA, Kans. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One outdoor company is getting heated up and putting one of their cool products to the ultimate test.

As the official cooler sponsor of the Badwater Ultramarathon – an extreme, 135-mile endurance race – Coleman outdoor company will be trekking to scorchin’ hot Death Valley, California, from July 23rd to July 25th to test their product in the intense 130-degree heat.

And here’s the cherry on top – they’re bringing ice cream!

To show off their Ultimate Xtreme Cooler, Coleman is bringing about 500 ice cream bars packed in coolers full of dry ice, which they’ll give to the race crew, organizers, and sun-soaked spectators.

Coleman spokesperson Ann Walden says, “We’ve tested our products, but we want to show that our coolers really perform as well as we say.”

But don’t expect any of the extreme competitors to stop for an ice cream cool-down.

Walden says, “They know what they should and shouldn’t eat. I’m not picturing any of the runners wanting ice cream!”
