Teenagers Won’t Stop Talking

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Now that school’s out for the summer, teenagers are doing what they love most – talking and texting on their cell phones!

According to a recent Disney Mobile Cell and Tell survey, tween and teens’ cell phone usage this summer is jumping from one hour a day to three hours now that they have some vacation time on their hands.

Other stats that’ll keep you talking include...

  • 44 percent of teens and tweens use text messages as their primary form of communication.

  • 14 percent have asked someone on a date over text message.

  • 26 percent say they check for text messages – or send one – less than 10 minutes after waking up.

But hold the phone – there’s a celebrity on the line!

Singer Chris Brown topped the list of male stars teens wanted a call or text from, with 26 percent singing his praises, while Disney Channel star Raven Simone scored 26 percent of votes to become the top female celeb teens wanted ringing their line.

But don’t despair, there’s still hope – teens say they call their mom first, even before their BFF!
