Thats the advice from Dr. Larrian Gillespie, former urologist and author of You Dont Have To Live With Cystitis (HarperCollins), who says routine checks for pee color can keep you and your bladder out of hot water.
Dr. Gillespie says to watch for a dark yellow toilet tint, which is a sign of dehydration, while clear pee means youve been drinking too much water and pissing away nutrients.
And dont be alarmed by red urine it may just be a side effect of eating blackberries or beets!
Gillespie says, Pay attention to your body. You dont want it to look like the Easter Bunny got into your toilet.
For beach babes, Gillespie avoids lounging in a damp swimsuit, which restricts air circulation and leads to bladder battles.
But dont worry, splashing in the ocean wont affect your pee.
Gillespie says, Swimming in the ocean is fine, as long as you dont drink it.
