Stars Offer Every Excuse In The Book

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Paris Hilton is getting yet another dubious honor. Now, she’s the celebrity with the silliest excuse.

In Touch Weekly magazine says when Hilton was pulled over for speeding last September, and told the cops she wasn’t drunk, just really hungry for In-N-Out burgers, ranks as the “No. 1 Silliest Celebrity Excuse.”

Sadly, the police didn’t buy it and arrested her for drunk driving.

But Hilton isn’t the only celeb who’s told a fabulous fib.

Ashlee Simpson makes the list for blaming Daddy after her Saturday Night Life lip-syncing disaster. The pop star claims she only faked her performance because she had acid reflux and her dad forced her to lip-sync.

Whitney Houston makes the list for telling Diane Sawyer that she doesn’t do drugs because, “Crack is cheap. I make too much money to ever smoke crack. Crack is wack!”

Finally, when Winona Ryder was caught shoplifting from Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills, she claimed she wasn’t a thief, just researching a role for the Claire Danes film, Shopgirl – even though the script had no shoplifting scenes in it.
