Egg Hunt Features Egg-sactly 500,000 Eggs

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – How many eggs does it take to set the World’s Record for “Largest Easter Egg Hunt?”

About 500,000 to be “egg-sact.”

That’s how many plastic eggs will be hidden at Cypress Gardens Adventure Park in Winter Haven, Florida, on Sunday (April 1), when the park attempts to set the record for largest Easter Egg Hunt ever.

The current record is at 301,000, set last year at Stone Mountain Theme Park in Atlanta.

Most of the eggs will have small treats and toys, but some will contain gift certificates for local restaurants, a free Swedish massage and one will contain a two-year scholarship for a local community college.

Park officials expect at least 15,000 folks will participate in the Easter Egg Hunt, which means there’s a good chance everyone will find at least one egg.
