Everyone Gets A Slice With New Pizza-Flavored Ice Cream

FREDONIA, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – An upstate New York ice cream parlor has created a flavor that’s sure to make you scream for a bottle of antacid.

Every April 1, Aldrich’s Beef and Ice Cream Parlor in Fredonia, New York, offers a special joke flavor for customers.

In years past, the parlor has featured ice cream flavored like chicken wings, beets and spinach and gravy.

This year, the freak flavor will be “Pizza Ice Cream,” and will be made from cream, sugar, tomato flavoring, pepperoni, mushrooms, and cheese.

Parlor owner Scott Aldrich – who has been making April Fools’ Day ice cream flavors for 24 years – says customers will be fools not to try it, and thinks most customers will be anxious to taste it.

Aldrich admits the flavor is “very interesting” and downright “wacky” since, in his words, “Any time you mix tomato flavoring with ice cream it gets pretty crazy!”

Aldrich has made 50 gallons of the Pizza Ice Cream flavor, and will dish it out until it’s gone.

To add a little more zest to the batch, Aldrich plans on offering parmesan cheese and crushed red peppers as “sprinkles.”
