Marc Ford: From Rock Star To Family Man

HOLLYWOOD (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Former Black Crowes guitarist Marc Ford is back to his rock star roots, but this time, he’s all grown up.

Ford has just released his first solo album, Weary And Wired, and has reunited with his very first signed band, Burning Tree, after 17 years.

He says it’s “cool, but different” being back together with his old bandmates.

Says Ford: “Our musical chemistry is still amazing, but we’ve all grown up so much in the last 17 years. We aren’t screwing around anymore, and we’re not on rock star ego trips, so it’s different than when we were young.”

Ford admits that fatherhood has also “slowed down” his rock star ways, but says it’s also helped him remember the excitement of the biz since his own son, Elijah, plays guitar in the band with him.

Says Ford: “It’s so cool seeing my son follow in my footsteps and experience the rock lifestyle. He’s already a pro at the rock star look and at signing autographs. Better than I ever was!”

Ford and his band start their European tour this May, but Ford insists he won’t be partaking in overseas rock star antics like bar hopping or trashing hotels rooms.

Instead, he’ll spend the time with his wife and kids, and in his words, “be the Partridge Family of rock.”
