Reading Biography Helps Simply Red Singer Keep CD Simple

LONDON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Some entertainers might think reading their life story will inhibit their creative process, but not Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall.

It actually inspired him more.

Hucknall has spent the last two years working on the band’s new album, Stay, but admits it simply wasn’t coming together until he read a biography about his life.

He confesses: “It just felt like I needed a shrink afterwards.”

Still, the experience kept him from holding back the years and inspired Hucknall to record three new tracks – including the title song – that he feels hold the album together.

He says the new songs are reflective of his current relationship status and the joy he is anticipating when his first child is born in late June.

Stay will be released April 24 but the current single, “So Not Over You,” is quickly rising up the AC Radio charts.
