Singer Chuck E. Weiss In Love With New CD

HOLLYWOOD (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – How’d you like to be a singer that’s more famous for having a song written about you than for your own compositions?

That’s the situation facing Chuck E. Weiss, a jazz and blues singer who has long been a mainstay in the Los Angeles music scene.

He’s also the guy who inspired Rickie Lee Jones’ 1978 hit, “Chuck E.’s In Love,” and admits he’s still baffled by that song’s enduring interest.

Says Weiss: “Usually no one mentions the song to me at gigs but, occasionally, someone will ask me at gigs why don’t I cover it, and I ask them, ‘Why?”’

Weiss is looking forward to introducing his own songs to the general public via his new CD, 23rd And Stout, which hits stores today (Mar. 13).
