‘Adult Swim’ Voiceover Actor Gets Noted For Music

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The star of the Cartoon Network series, The Prince Of Tennis, is now getting a note of fame for his music.

By day, David Neil Black is a voiceover actor whose big claim to fame is providing voices for The Prince Of Tennis, a Japanese anime series that is now being aired nightly on Adult Swim.

But at night, Black plays lead guitar for the rock band 7k, which is getting acclaim for its new CD, Knick Knacks And Apparel.

The worlds of voiceovers and rock music may seem far apart but Black says they are closer than you think.

As Black puts it, “There’s a lot of people in the voiceover world with musical experience and a lot of the communication and direction is done in musical terms.”

Although The Prince Of Tennis and 7k are both gathering fans, Black admits fans have noticed his involvement.

In his words, “I played a copy of the show for my family and they didn’t recognize my voice.”
