Well, a man in Fallbrook, California, has been trying to get his hands on one for 10 years but the government keeps giving him crap.
Professional treasure hunter Bill Warren claims he is the owner of Navassa, an island 90 miles south of Cuba that is pretty much covered with bird guano which is used for fertilizer and cosmetics.
Back in the 1800s, Navassa was a major guano island and Warren says he has a quick claim deed from a descendent of the original owner.
Yet, he says the government is giving him crap about his claim, even though America doesnt own the land.
This infuriates Warren, who figures that even though he wont have to pay U.S. taxes on the island, the American government still stands to make more money if he owns the island than in its current condition.
Warren is currently suing the U.S. government to honor his claim and if all works out, he plans to turn Navassa into a major bird poop manufacturer in the next few years.
