Members Of U.S. Pastry Team Are No Cream Puffs

LAS VEGAS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The USA World Pastry Cup Team is ready to take in the sweet smell of success – they just don’t want to taste it.

Team president En Ming Hsu says the team has made so many practice desserts while gearing up for the Couple du Monde de la Patisserie next month in Lyon, France, that they would be happy to never taste chocolate again.

As she puts it, “It IS possible to get sick of chocolate.”

But that’s not all the three member team is tired of – their entry must also include an original type of ice cream, and a fruit dessert, as well as decorative displays for all the entries.

Hsu says she and her fellow chefs are so over the tempting dishes that they either reuse them or give them to the hotel workers at the MGM Grand and Rio hotels in Las Vegas where they’ve been practicing for the past year.

The Couple du Monde de la Patisserie takes place January 21 and 22.
