UFC President Has No ‘Fear’ Letting One Celebrity Fight

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White says he has no problem letting one “fearless” celebrity duke it out in the ring.

White admits there aren’t too many celebrities he would consider “tough enough” to join the sport – except for Fear Factor’s Joe Rogan.

Says White: “ I would definitely let Rogan join the UFC. Rogan has actually trained in this kind of sport for years, and has thought about fighting before. He could tough it out, no doubt about it.”

White adds that his offer to recruit Rogan will always stand, but until he accepts, UFC will be about shining the spotlight on unknown fighters and “making stars out of them.”

White might have his eye on a few future stars.

That’s because the latest UFC event is being held tonight (Dec. 13) at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar near San Diego, California.

The San Diego UFC match is exclusively for Military, where White hopes to show UFC’s appreciation to the “...brave men and women who fight for our freedom.”
