Stephen Colbert Opens Museum To Himself

COLBERT COUNTY, Alabama (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Tuscumbia, Alabama, may soon become known as “Mecca” to fans of Stephen Colbert.

That’s because the Comedy Central host has decided to give the tiny town – which is located in Colbert County, one of America’s most economically depressed communities, the opportunity to house the “Stephen Colbert Museum and Gift Shop.”

Colbert believes that Tuscumbia deserves the honor since Colbert County officials were kind enough to name the county after him.

The Colbert Report will focus on his efforts to get the museum built starting November 27.

But it’s no slam dunk that it will become Tuscumbia’s biggest tourist attraction because the town is also the birth place of Helen Keller and she still attracts a fair amount of visitors.
