Deftones Still ‘Brothers’ After 18 Years

PORTLAND, Ore. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Countless rock bands have fallen into obscurity because the members just couldn’t get their act together – but that’s not the case for hard rockers the Deftones.

The band has been together for more than 18 years and despite some minor setbacks, they’ve stuck through thick and thin.

That’s the word from drummer Abe Cunningham who says the five consider themselves “brothers” and tour together in one bus – even though they could have their own transportation.

Says Cunningham: “We’re definitely having a good time. We all just listen to music and talk s.”

He says, unlike other rock bands, they haven’t let fame get to their head and that after 18 years together they’ve “gone through all that band drama.”

That’s a good thing since the Deftones are currently in the middle of a six week, cross country tour that ends December 15 in St Louis.
