Haunted Hotel In Arkansas At The Peak Of Paranormal This Month

EUREKA SPRINGS, ARK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa has its share of ghostly activity year round, but this month the hauntings are more frequent than ever.

That’s the word from Bill Otts, a spokesman for the spooky resort, who says that the guests and staff at the Crescent generally experience the most paranormal activity during the month of October.

According to Otts, the most common hauntings occur near room 218, dubbed “Michaels’s Room,” where a man named Michael plunged to his death while helping to build the hotel back in 1886.

Other highly haunted areas are at the north end of the hotel, where a doctor named Norman Baker once used it as an asylum for the mentally ill and a morgue.

Despite the wandering apparitions, Otts says there’s no need to be too spooked out.

In his words, “The ghosts are playful and never hurt anyone. They’re like Casper. Most of them are here because they have fond memories of their visits to the hotel way back when and they want us to acknowledge their presence.”
