Worry Hotline Urges ‘Don’t Worry, Be Happy’

PHOENIX, Az. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Worrywarts everywhere now have one less thing to worry about – and that’s who to call when they’re stressed out.

That’s because a woman in Phoenix runs something called, an interactive online club with its own hotline – 1-866-WORRY4U – to help those suffering from “worry-itis.”

Self-proclaimed “professional worrier” Bonnie Burns says she started the website because, as she points out, “Everyone gets worried sometimes. Our pro- worriers are here to talk you through your stress using humor.”

Most people worry about things like work, aging and their love lives but one woman told Burns she was voting for the first time and worried about punching the ballot card wrong.

Burns expects that with the holidays fast approaching, the hotline should stay busy, since, in her words, “Relatives can be real pills.”
