Secret To A Long Term Life In Hollywood? Keep Praying

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – When it comes to having a successful career in Hollywood, actor Cress Williams says all one can do is pray – a lot.

And if anyone should know, it’s Williams.

As a character actor he’s gotten steady work in the industry since the early ’90s on shows like Beverly Hills 90210, Grey’s Anatomy and Veronica Mars and now he’s landed a regular role as police officer Ed Williams on the CBS show Close to Home.

Williams says he credits his focus and love of acting to his longevity and that he learned early on that in order to survive you have “love it more than anything.”

Although Close to Home is keeping him busy for now, Williams says he’s working on a “dramedy about my life in L.A” which he hopes to turn into a sitcom.

The season premiere of Close to Home airs Friday (Sept. 22) on CBS.
