Jim Breuer: ‘I Influenced ’90s Music’

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Eddie Vedder is one of rock’s biggest stars but comedian Jim Breuer says he owes him his career.

Breuer is known for his “Goat Boy” character on Saturday Night Live, and he believes his goat braying was co-opted by Vedder and the likes of former Creed singer Scott Stapp for financial gain.

He sees it this way: “I influenced the entire ’90s. They should be cutting me in on royalties.”

However, in all fairness, Breuer says he’s not the first person to build a career sounding like a goat – that dubious honor goes to Cher.

Breuer doesn’t know if he’ll ever get proper credit for inspiring a generation of musicians, but he’ll get a chance to press them personally tonight (Sept. 18), when he hosts the Ambassadors Of Rock Tour at the New York Hard Rock Cafe, an event to benefit the Chris Farley Foundation.
