Camp Photos And Stories Needed For Campy Book

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Summer camp season has come and gone, but it’s still alive for an author in New York, who is desperately seeking camp photos and stories for his campy book.

Roger Bennett is currently on a nationwide search for photographs and stories related to summer camp experiences from the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s – especially those involving what he describes as “sports triumphs and emotional disasters.”

Bennett says, for many, summer camp is “the apex of adolescence; a time when Fantasy Island meets The Lord Of The Flies.”

As a result, no detail is too arcane and Bennett insists he’s just as interested in seeing a picture of Rob Lowe above a bunk as he is in talking with former camp counselors about their summer romances.

Folks who want to camp things up with Bennett are asked to make submissions to and he expects to be overwhelmed by the time the search ends in nine weeks.

In his words, “Most people who went to camp were more shaped by their experience there than the college they chose to attend.”
