TV Judge Hopes To Make It Big In Small Claims

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – There are already lots of judges with their own TV show but Judge Cristina Perez is still hoping to court couch potatoes.

She’s the star of Cristina’s Court – which debuts in syndication on Monday (Sept. 11) – and hopes her courtroom personality and judging skills will distinguish her show from Judge Judy, Judge Mathis and Judge Joe Brown.

In her words, “I don’t think I’m just one type of judge. I can be mean, happy, funny, caring – it all depends on the people and case I’m dealing with.”

Perez is no TV rookie. She hosted a similar show on Spanish TV dealing with family law but her new show will concentrate mostly on small claims cases.

As she puts it, “No matter how small the claim, it is seriously therapeutic to sue someone.”

Although the new show is in English, Perez hopes to attract her old Spanish TV audiences and wants to use her “Latin flare to connect with people and their cases.”
