Fabian Dealing With Family Pressure – To Finish Autobiography

BRANSON, Mo. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Former teen idol Fabian Forte is enjoying his current status as an elder statesman of pop, but admits he’s dealing with a lot of family pressure.

The 63-year-old singer says his son, screenwriter Christian Forte, has been nagging him to finish his autobiography, which both consider a great coming-of-age story.

But Forte admits he’s having a hard time writing it because documenting some of his early years is a little painful.

As he recounts it: “Going into show business wasn’t a big desire. It was sort of thrust on me and I did it because my father couldn’t work because of a heart attack.”

But there’s currently a lot of projects distracting Forte, as well, including hosting Fabian’s Goodtime Rock ’N’ Roll Show, a review featuring Bobby Vee, Chris Montez and the Chiffons playing now at the Dick Clark Theatre in Branson, Missouri.
