Age Is Just An Adjective For Art Linkletter

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – They say age is just a number but it’s also an adjective for TV pioneer Art Linkletter.

He turns 94 on July 17 and says ever since he turned 80, his age has become part of his name as in, well, “94-year-old Art Linkletter.”

The man who coined the phrase “Kids Say The Darnedest Things” now says being old doesn’t have to damn you to a life of being “sick, frail, sexless or senile.”

He says the key to being vital when you’re up in years is “always having something to plan for.”

Linkletter practices what he preaches. He’s just co- authored a new book, How To Make The Rest Of Your Life The Best Of Your Life (Nelson).

Still, he’s made some concessions to his age. Last winter, he gave up skiing – not because his body couldn’t hack it, but because his wife was afraid he’d get into an accident with snowboarders.
