According to a survey by Kingsford Charcoal, St. Louis is the No. 1 city for grilling in the United States, based on annual sales of charcoal, barbecue sauce, grills and picnic ware.
St. Louis is closely followed by Des Moines, Iowa, then Tampa/ St. Petersburg, Florida, followed by Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Meanwhile, that dubious honor goes this year to Harrisburg/ Scranton, Pennsylvania, which ranks No. 60, just behind Buffalo/ Rochester, New York, and Oklahoma City.
Finally, Boston is the most popular city for charcoal grills while St. Louis is Americas top city for barbecue sauce sales.
