Bananarama Singer Happy Her Music Appeals To Daughter

LONDON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The music of the British pop group Bananarama appeals to fans of ’80s music but singer Sara Dallin is happy that her daughter likes it as well.

At least the new stuff.

Dallin and partner Keren Woodward have just recorded a new dance CD, Drama, that is set for stateside release in a few weeks and she admits she wasn’t sure how an audience that wasn’t born when hits like “Venus” and “I Heard A Rumor” were flying up the charts would react.

She needn’t have worried.

Dallin says her young daughter liked the record so much that she put the tunes on her iPod and brought it to school for her friends to listen.

Although Dallin is pleased, she’s also shocked because she admits because the beat-centered tunes “are nothing like Blur or Oasis and whatever she’s listening to.”

Bananarama will be visiting the states to promote the new album, which features their recent top 20 U.K. hit, “Move In My Direction.”
